  Typical WT BS. Blame the rank and file on mistakes. Protect the corporation at any cost. First of all they say that the "worldly" reports are all lies.

  What a contrast to those of the world who lack true spiritual guidance and a solid hope for the future! --Isaiah 65:13.

  They never take any responsibility that maybe their policies are wrong. Again they are putting the blame on the rank and file elder.

  We have long instructed elders to report allegations of child abuse to the authorities where required by Law to do so, even where there is only one witness. (Romans 13:1) in any case, the elders know that if the victim wishes to make a report, it is his or her absolute right to do so.----Galatians 6:5.

  At Kingdom Ministry Schools the elders receive ongoing reminders regarding this policy and related matters. And we continue to urge the elders to follow closely the procedures that we have established.

  Any elder with any sense after reading this would turn in the resignation or face personal lawsuits. Looks like the borg is leaving you elders out to dry on this one.

  others on this board have mentioned that the jw's have dismissed erica's interview as "lies" because she wore a cross.

  i didn't even notice the cross as i was busy concentrating on what she was saying.

  however, in dubville, one must quickly discredit what a perceived opposer is saying or doing.

  I want to thank all of you at Dateline, Jane Pauley, Stone Phillips and John Larson for a story well done. I was raised as a Jehovah's Witnesses but have drifted away do to their controlling influences. It is about time that people saw for themselves how these smiling faces that come to their door are really a dangerous cult. So by your airing this dark secret of the Jehovah's Witnesses can save one child from abuse it was worth it.

  Dateline Dissapearing Act?

  im just starting to get this suspicious feeling.. .

  why is it that there is no mention of last tuesday's sceening on the dateline page?.

  all other recent shows have some sort of mention,and are even on streaming audio,prehaps they will get round to doing it for this one,but i,m sure they had the highlights to last weeks show up and running by saturday.. why am i suspicious?.

  I would say to any Dub that questions Erica's truthfulness on the fact she is wearing a cross, Can you blame her? After the court case and she saw how her supposed friends treated her and how the dubs made her accuser up as the victim, Can you blame her from turning away from the Jdubs? She has turned to another faith, one that is supportive of her but in the eyes of a dub, she is wrong. I just hope any of these good Jdubs that have small children don't have their children going out door to door with a pervert.

  The question I would like to ask is, who the F*** is DR. Stark??? I is it the same as Mr. Spock?? I like how they think they can throw around some guys name with a Doctoral title and we have to take what he said as gospel truth. It’s like the ads on TV that show some guy in a white coat selling medicine. Anyway he couldn't be raised as a Dub other wise he would be mopping floors somewhere.

  i joined this group in february, however had been surfing the various websites that expose the witnesses' lies since being disfellowshipped last august.

  the support from those sites and this board have been invaluable.

  today, i no longer have the fear of having left the organization.

  Good for you it is never too late to start your education. That was about the age that I started to do part time studies and after 10 years I eventually got promoted and today have a job that I enjoy and is challenging to me. All the best and give us a progress report from time to time.

  jr brown stated, "it is possible out of the 77,799 elders in the usa that a few of them did not follow directions.".

  Makes one wonder why anyone in their right minds would "reach out" for all those "privileges" of being an elder. When push comes to shove the WT will protect themselves over some small time elder and they will leave those elders out to dry.

  i guess everyone's speculating on the reaction of the wts to last night's dateline.

  seen a few reactions posted here so far, but nothing to indicate what the gb is going to do about it.. i think the average r&f dubs are going to have a far more adverse reaction than many think.

  while the face put on to the public and to people like us may say "apostate attack", the private personal reaction we don't see is the one to consider.. how can this not cast doubt in all but the most hardcore dub?.

  I am sure the WT will ignore the issue and hope it goes away. They will probably give some talk on the dangers of the Internet and apostates. I am sure they are already planning some counter attack as we speak. The problem is they are living in the 19th century and the tried and true methods they have fallen back will not work on the majority of dubs.

  A hardening of the CCoJW

  perhaps one affect the dateline program will have is to filter some of the "weaker", leaving behind more of the "hardened".. perhaps this will result in more of the good people leaving and the society becoming an even more closed and controlling environment.. .

  I have spoken with a number of JW women around my age (born in the 50's and 60's) and on a whole they are not as gullible as the older generation. They are not willing to sit around and take any crap the WT dishes out. So its either the WT change or they will stay at a negative growth rate.
